WRT Commits To Two-Car Bathurst Effort With BMW

Drivers to be revealed in due course...

BMW will return to the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour in 2025 with a pair of BMW M4 GT3s run by Team WRT in the Pro class.

The Belgian-flagged team, which won the event in 2018, is therefore confirmed for a third consecutive year in the race, coming off the back of a strong 2024 attack that saw it contend for the win throughout.

The team scored the Allan Simonsen Pole Award for the first time in January, while its best runner ultimately finished fifth outright after running third within the final half-hour of the race. That followed a fourth-place finish the year prior – BMWs best in the GT3 era of the race.

The team will confirm the makeup of both entries, including drivers, sponsors and car numbers, in the new year.

BMW may be searching for its first win with a GT3 car at the 12 Hour in 2025, but it does have a strong track record at the race, including winning the race twice (2007 and 2010) in the Production Car era and scoring pole position on three occasions.
