Heinrich & Shuring To Make Bathurst Debut In The Bend Porsche

2024 IMSA GTD Pro title winner Laurin Heinrich and 2024 Le Mans LMGT3 winner Morris Schuring will join the Shahin brothers for the Bathurst 12 hour this year in The Bend team’s EMA-prepared Porsche.

The four-up combination, one of four in the race this year, will contest the Pro-Am class as Yasser Shahin seeks to go back-to-back.

Shahin, along with Shuring, also claimed the LMGT3 class at the Le Mans 24 Hours last year racing in a Manthey-prepped Porsche, while his brother Sam made his debut in the Porsche Supercup championship.

Former Carrera Cup Champion Heinrich comes into his first 12 Hour fresh off his stellar season with AO Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship.

19-year-old Dutchman Schuring meanwhile, was part of the Manthey-EMA team that won Le Mans last year and finished second in the FIA WEC’s LMGT3 class championship.

Like Heinrich, he graduated from one-make Porsche racing directly into the top flight of GT3 competition. This year’s Bathurst 12 Hour will also be his debut.

The Bend entry will be one of two Porsche 911 GT3R entries contesting this years’ Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour. The livery for the effort (featured) was unveiled at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend today.
