Dutch 2024 Le Mans Class Winner Morris Schuring will compete in the 2025 DTM aboard a Manthey racing-entered Porsche 911 GT3R.
The 19-year-old completed a full season in the FIA WEC on 2024 with Manthey EMA with an impressive set of results headlined by the LMGT3 class win at Le Mans alongside Richard Lietz and Yasser Shahin.
“As a child, I used to watch the DTM, a super cool championship known worldwide. Great that I am now able to race in it,” said Schuring.
“The level in DTM is incredibly high, the drivers racing here really are among the best in the world. Several brands are represented with factory drivers, the bar is very high,” says Schuring. “That doesn’t make it easy, but is of course very good as the next step in my career, to learn even more and to gain experience.”
Schuring will drive under the Manthey Junior Team banner.
Nicki Raeder, managing director of Manthey Racing GmbH: “Morris had a very successful season with us in the FIA WEC in 2024. He is a young driver who impressed us a lot with his performance, so DTM is now the next sensible step. I am very happy that he is now strengthening our team in the sprint series and can prove his qualities as a young driver there.”
Schuring celebrates his 20th birthday on 20 February and becomes the youngest Dutch driver in DTM history so far.
