With other media reports leaking out of the Asian Le Mans Series paddock we’re putting aside our initial agreement to await official confirmation of the emerging details of the proposed 2025/ 2026 Asian Le Mans Series calendar.
The teams were briefed on arrival at the circuit here that the provisional calendar will again see three double header races weekends.
Back on the calendar for the first time since 2020 will be Buriram, Thailand for a planned pair of 4 hour races at the end of November.
Two weekends later will come Sepang in Malaysia, changes in freighting regulations since the Asian Le Mans Series managed to achieve back-to-back races between the two neighbouring countries in 2020 means that is no longer possible.

The season will be completed in February 2026 in the UAE with a third double-header, but a final decision between Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina has yet to be taken. It will be one or the other, single races at each is not an option under active consideration.
Each competing team here was consulted on their preference this week with Asian Le Mans Series management also looking to take into account avoiding clashes with Rolex 24, Bathurst 12 Hour, FIA WEC Prologue and opening round in Qatar plus Chinese New Year and Ramadan.
That little lot brings a choice of two weekends in early/ mid February.
A final decision will be made after consulting with both circuits on the availability of relevant dates.
