Yorkshire-based sportscar team United Autosports has taken the wraps off the livery that its pair of McLaren LMGT3 Evos will sport in the 2025 FIA WEC season.
United has gone with a bold, new take on the papaya and black design. It will ensure both cars stand out when on track during what is undoubtedly a hugely important season for the team and McLaren, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Woking brand’s 1995 Le Mans triumph this June.
“It is a very special year to be racing with McLaren in the WEC,” says Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO, “and our 2025 livery celebrates that. This season is about building on strong foundations, winning races and going for the championship title, and we are doing that in a car that is proudly, unmistakeably McLaren.”
The #59 McLaren GT3 EVO – which shares the race number of the Le Mans-winning McLaren F1 GTR – welcomes returnees James Cottingham and Gregoire Saucy, who together posted three top-four race results with the team in the 2024 WEC season, and new addition Sebastien Baud.
In the #95 McLaren GT3 EVO – numbered in honour of the 1995 Le Mans victory – WEC race winners Darren Leung and Sean Gelael are making their debut with United Autosports, together with returning United driver Marino Sato.
