BMW M Motorsport racing legend Bill Auberlen and second-year GT3 driver Varun Choksey will continue to race together in the 2025 GT World Challenge America powered by AWS season – but they’re moving from ST Racing to a new, second BMW M4 GT3 EVO from Random Vandals Racing.
Auberlen and Choksey will drive the new #51 BMW with sponsorship from new RVR partner Franck Muller. In their first season together in the Pro category, they took three overall podiums with a best finish of second place at Barber Motorsports Park, and finished fourth in the Pro class standings.
Auberlen and Choksey will join the already announced duo of Kenton Koch and Connor De Phillippi in the #99 BMW.
“It’s an incredible privilege to have Bill Auberlen in a Random Vandals BMW. Bill and Varun have folded in with the team quickly, and we are confident that between our drivers and our engineering team, we will have a very strong 2025,” said Paul Sparta, Random Vandals Racing Team Principal. “Huge thanks goes to BMW Motorsport for its confidence in RVR. It’s always been our aim to field a true world-class program, and we are doing just that.”
“I’m bringing in the 2025 racing season with a giant grin! Varun and myself will be teamed up with Random Vandals racing and I couldn’t be happier,” said Auberlen. “Paul Sparta and the team have welcomed us with open arms and my hopes of landing the 2025 championship are at an all-time high. We will be racing the new BMW M4 GT3 EVO and I can’t wait to see how amazing our new ride is.
“It’s time to win this thing and I can’t wait to get started.”
“I’m incredibly excited to be joining RVR alongside Bill for my second year in GTWCA,” said Choksey. “I think I can speak for the entire team when I say that we want to be fighting for wins and a championship this season. With the team Paul has put together I think we have every chance of doing exactly that. I can’t wait to get the season underway; Sonoma can’t get here soon enough.”
