Nielsen Racing has announced that James Allen and Sergio Sette Camara will join the team for the upcoming European Le Mans Series season, sharing the #27 ORECA 07-Gibson alongside the previously confirmed Tony Wells in LMP2 Pro-Am.
Allen, the 2022 Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2 Pro-Am winner and 2023 European Le Mans Series LMP2 Champion, is coming off his second IMSA Daytona 24 Hours class victory, and a runner-up finish in the 2024/25 Asian Le Mans Series standings. He drove for Duqueine Team in ELMS last season, recording three top-ten finishes.
2025 marks Sette Camara’s prototype endurance racing debut after spending his career to date in single-seater competition, where he’s driven everything from Formula E, Super Formula, Formula 2 and more. He also spent time as a test or reserve driver for the McLaren and AlphaTauri (now Racing Bulls) Formula 1 teams. Sette Camara made his major sports car racing debut at the GT World Challenge Europe 3 Hours of Monza this past September.
Together they’ll join Nielsen Racing mainstay Wells, who moves up to LMP2 this year after winning LMP3 championships in the Michelin Le Mans Cup and Asian Le Mans Series.
Nielsen Racing finished fifth in last year’s LMP2 Pro-Am Championship with two podium finishes to bookend the season – that was with the #24 car led by John Falb and Colin Noble. For 2025, the #24 moves into the primary LMP2 class with a new line-up of Cem Bolukbasi, Ferdinand Habsburg, and Filipe Albuquerque.
