Chouest Povoledo Racing is the newest team to join the Corvette Racing family of customer teams, as the team revealed today.
Team namesakes Ross Chouest and Aaron Povoledo will drive the #50 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the 2025 GT World Challenge America powered by AWS Pro-Am category. Chouest will also drive in the multi-class GT America powered by AWS sprint series in the new Corvette.
It marks the latest chapter for Chouest Povoledo Racing, which began racing as an independent team in 2022. Chouest won the GT America GT4 Championship that season, then finished third in the Pirelli GT4 America Pro-Am standings alongside his co-driver Povoledo.
In 2024, they moved up to the top step in the SRO America pyramid, GT World Challenge America. In a difficult first season of GT3 competition, the duo captured a pair of top-five class finishes (top-ten overall) in eight starts. In GT America, Chouest scored five top-five finishes in the SRO3 class.
The transfer from Mercedes-AMG to Corvette makes Chouest Povoledo the second Corvette Racing team on the GT World Challenge America grid. DXDT Racing, which introduced the Z06 GT3.R to the series last year, will return to the series in 2025 with a one-car, Pro-Am entry for drivers Blake McDonald and Daytona 24 Hours winner Matthew Bell.
Their new cars will race for the first time next weekend at the opening round in Sonoma Raceway, California.
