31 Entries For GT4 America Sonoma Kickoff

From seven manufacturers across three classes

Pirelli GT4 America begins its 2025 season next weekend at Sonoma Raceway, where 31 cars are on the provisional entry list for the opening double-header event, ready for battle across the Silver, Pro-Am, and Am classes.

In addition, customers from Aston Martin, BMW, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and Toyota will not only contribute to the GT4 America Manufacturers’ Championship – but also the new Global GT4 Manufacturers’ Championship that launches in 2025.

BMW alone has 11 of its M4 GT4s on the grid, including several new-for-2025 M4 GT4 EVOs. Random Vandals Racing’s three M4 GT4 EVOs lead the way with entries in all three classes, joined by two-car entries from perennial contenders like BimmerWorld, Auto Technic Racing, and Fast Track Racing. Rigid Speed Company and Carrus Callas Raceteam’s single-car efforts round out the fleet.

The two Silver class entries are the #52 Auto Technic Racing BMW of Zac Anderson, the 2023 champion, joined by Colin Garrett for a second season; and the #97 Random Vandals Racing BMW of Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm, the 2024 Silver class runners-up. Random Vandals also welcomes back Team Principal Paul Sparta to on-track competition for the first time since a back injury he sustained at Road America last August.

BimmerWorld owner/driver James Clay and Charlie Postins, the two-time Am class champions in 2022 and 2023, headline the list of potential candidates for the Bronze/Bronze title in 2025.

Aston Martin has five Vantage AMR GT4s in the field including more of the Vantage GT4 ‘EVO’s that were introduced last year. Heart of Racing Team scales back to a single car, the #26 Vantage for Female Talent Search winners Hannah Grisham and Hannah Greenemeier, who begin their second season together.

Canadian team JMF Motorsports has switched from Mercedes to Aston Martin with two outstanding Silver class cars – the #3 of Jesse Webb and Jonathan Neudorf, plus the #4 of Braydon Arthur and Mike David Ortmann (Aston Martin Racing factory driver).

Toyota’s customer fleet is loaded with five outstanding GR Supra GT4s – including the brand-new GT4 EVO2. RAFA Racing Team’s #68 GR Supra features two of the top Toyota Development Drivers in the US – Tyler Gonzalez and Gresham Wagner, renowned for their mastery of one-make racing.

JTR Motorsports Engineering’s Pro-Am #69 Toyota features a strong combo of Anthony McIntosh and Parker Thompson, back together for the first time since their race-winning 2024-25 Asian Le Mans Series campaign with 2 Seas Motorsport.

Porsche has four of its 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsports on the grid this year – and two recent Porsche Carrera Cup North America Champions in the ranks of Chattanooga-based ACI Motorsports: 2023 PCCNA title-winner Riley Dickinson with reigning GT4 America Pro-Am Champion Curt Swearingin, and in the new #9, reigning PCCNA Champion Loek Hartog joins series graduate Dan Sibille.

Three-time GT4 America Pro-Am Champions NOLASPORT have a new-look line-up for the #23 built around IndyCar Series alumni Matheus Leist and co-driver Michael Auriemma, while VPX Motorsport graduates out of the Sports Car Championship Canada to GT4 America in 2025.

An expanded McLaren Artura GT4 selection of three cars includes series mainstays Blackdog Racing (switching from Nissan), P1 Groupe (switching from Mercedes-AMG), and TPC Racing, new to the series though experienced with the platform. Blackdog Speed Shop’s Tony Gaples is joined by Michael Cooper, already a winner with the Artura GT4 platform earlier this year at Daytona.

Mercedes-AMG’s sole representative at Sonoma is the new Dome Motorsport team, aiming to raise awareness for the Junaid Family Foundation with its distinctively-coloured #37 driven by Eddie Killeen and Marc Miller.

That just leaves one Nissan Z NISMO GT4 on the grid from Flying Lizard Motorsport – with no drivers announced as of yet, after originally announcing Damir Hot and Rodrigo Baptista for the 2025 season. Flying Lizard and Programme Manager Darren Law have pledged to optimise the Z NISMO GT4 and unlock its potential after the loss of customers like TechSport Racing and Blackdog Speed Shop.

At least five women will be on this year’s grid: Heart of Racing’s Grisham and Greenemeier will be joined by TPC Racing’s Zoe Barry and Aurora Straus, who together launched the new Driven Artists Racing Team initiative (DART Car); and Thunder Bunny Racing’s Laura Hayes, bringing her hillclimb experience to GT4 competition in the #606 Toyota.
