Alongside his BTCC and historic race programmes Touring Car legend and LMP1 race winner Tom has been working hard with a dedicated team at Birch to build and develop a facility of World Class quality.
Beyond the public face of the facility the ‘vault’ beyond is entirely private, no cameras. And no phones are permitted either beyond the tight security provisions of the facility.
For the lucky few that do get beyond the multi-tiered security the facility is very impressive indeed:
“We pride ourselves in providing a top quality and growing facility that has all the privacy, security, safety and convenience that any client might want and expect,” explained Tom.
The cars are ‘racked’ in their own purpose-designed beds, in a secure, individually fire protected and climate monitored environment.
There’s an extensive storage area too for a significant amount of relevant ‘kit’.
“There’s race team equipment, trackway spares and some manufacturer display equipment here, as well as some spare for some of the track day cars and classics,” said Tom.
“There is relevance here for manufacturers and race teams as well as private individuals looking for a logistical hub, or just for safe and secure storage for their pride and joy.
“We are now a bonded warehouse facility too so we can help owners with cars in transit via the UK.
“But it’s more than that – we offer online monitoring of the car’s battery ‘health’ and regular visual monitoring of every vehicle.”
Indeed every car is wired with intelligent charging to provide remote monitoring of condition and each car carrier has integrated drip trays to allow immediate visual monitoring of any leaks or spills, so that customers can be alerted to any emerging potential issue.
“We’re available 24/7 to meet a client’s needs in dropping off, or picking up their car or equipment too.”
The company has active plans to develop their range of on-site services including vehicle pampering within their secure compound, all in all a one-stop shop to allow some very precious cars, and some important kit, to be less of a concern to their owners and carers.
Birch are also keen to encourage their customers to see their facility as a hub for their business opportunities and enthusiasm.
“The Club Room is available to all of our customers, to host meetings, events, even to meet up with friends for a coffee, they are always welcome.
