All 43 teams of the 2025 Autobacs SUPER GT Series will make their final preparations for the upcoming season, at this weekend’s official pre-season test at Fuji Speedway.
There are no changes in the GT500 class with Toyota reserve driver Kazuto Kotaka back behind the wheel of the #19 WedsSport Advan GR Supra as its third driver.
Last time out at Okayama, the #38 KeePer Cerumo GR Supra recorded the fastest time in dry conditions, on the first day of the test. There is a possibility of rain again at Fuji.

CarGuy MKS Racing will make its first on-track pre-season appearance in GT300. Zak O’Sullivan and Rikuto Kobayashi will be behind the wheel of the #7 CarGuy Ferrari 296 GT3, and they’ll be joined by reserve driver Keita Sawa, who hasn’t run in SUPER GT since 2012.
This will also be the first appearance for Saitama Green Brave and the #52 Toyota GR Supra GT300 driven by Hiroki Yoshida and Seita Nonaka. The 2023 GT300 Champion team missed the Okayama test due to delays in receiving parts.
It means that all 28 GT300 cars plan to run for valuable mileage.
The Fuji test also sees the SUPER GT debut of a new face in the series – but not a new face to some DSC readers, Harry King. The 2024 Porsche Supercup championship runner-up, coming off Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 and Dubai 24H outings with Pure Rxcing, will drive the #666 seven x seven Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside Kiyoto Fujinami and Tsubasa Kondo.
King already has a programme for 2025, driving the Verstappen.com Racing Aston Martin in GT World Challenge Europe’s Endurance Cup.
Yuhki Nakayama will join Goodsmile Racing & Team UKYO in the #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3, as Shunji Okumoto will test the #61 Subaru BRZ GT300 for R&D Sport. This will serve as Nakayama’s SUPER GT refresher test after a two-year absence from the series before the 2013 GT300 Champion returns to action at Sepang with GSR.
On the other hand, Charlie Fagg is not entered in the #777 D’station Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3, meaning Tomonobu Fujii will be solely responsible for testing the car this weekend.

The final tests take place over Saturday and Sunday, with two-hour sessions from 9:30-11:30 and 14:00-16:00 JST (local time).
