Inter Europol Competition’s fast start to the 2025 ELMS season continued this morning in the final practice session of the weekend in Barcelona.
The Polish team – which topped the pre-season test earlier in the week and FP1 – ended up first and second in the classification with a best time over half a second faster than its rivals ahead of Qualifying later today.
The best time came from Tom Dillmann. The Frenchman completed a 1:28.741 as part of the #43’s 39-lap run in the session. He was the only driver to set a sub-1:29 time in the LMP2 class.
In the sister car, Luca Ghiotto led the way with a 1:29.034. The #37 CLX ORECA came closest with a 1:29.395 from Acura MSR GTP ace Tom Blomqvist.
Fourth fastest in the times was the Pro/Am-entered #20 Algarve Pro Racing 07 following a head-turning 1:29.684 from Alex Quinn.
AO By TF, which caused a seven-minute red flag after a minor off at Turn 13 for PJ Hyett, was second in the Pro/Am division courtesy of a 1:31.122 from Louis Deletraz, but 14th overall.
Ligier set the bar in LMP3 once again, with JS P325s occupying the top four spaces on the timing screens in the class. M Racing’s #68 came out on top with a 1:38.446 from Quentin Antonel.
The DKR Ginetta was best of the rest, thanks to a Mikkel Gaarde Pedersen 1:39.972 to go fifth in the class.
The Duqueine 09 from WTM by Rinaldi didn’t take part in the session.
Kessel Racing’s #74 Ferrari paced LMGT3. Local hero Miguel Molina reeled off a 1:41.350 to lead a 1-2-3 for the 296.
Richard Mille AF Corse’s example slotted in second, with the #85 third. Iron Dames would finish up fourth with its #85 Porsche after a 1:42.000.
Qualifying for the ELMS is set to get underway at 15:00 and can be streamed live on the ELMS YouTube channel.
