Alongside the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, GT America powered by AWS will race this weekend on the streets of Long Beach, California – 21 cars are entered in this weekend’s races, which start Saturday at 5:20 PM and Sunday at 11:20 AM PT (local time).
A massive 13-car SRO3 class field is bolstered by the addition of several GT World Challenge America regulars: Jason Bell (#2 Racers Edge Aston Martin Vantage GT3), Blake McDonald (#11 DXDT Racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R), Gray Newell (#24 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin), Jason Daskalos (#27 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3), and Jeff Burton (#91 Regulator Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3) will be stepping back into GT America competition this week for additional seat time.
GMG Racing is also bringing two additional GT3 cars this weekend – the #14 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II for owner/driver James Sofronas, and the #54 Porsche 991.2 GT3 R for Patrick Mulcahy, who brings recent racing experience from Porsche Sprint Challenge and Carrera Cup North America. They’ll join Sonoma Race 2 winner Kyle Washington in his #32 Porsche 992 GT3 R, and most of the drivers that ran the opening weekend.
George Kurtz (#04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG) looks to get back on track after his Race 1 win in Sonoma followed by a DNF in the pouring rain in Race 2, and defending champion Justin Rothberg (#29 Turner Motorsport BMW M4 GT3 EVO) seeks his first win of the year.
GT America will also have GT2 cars in action for the first time this year.

GMG Racing’s four-car total entry is completed by series regular CJ Moses’ #58 Audi R8 LMS GT2. Moses’ competition will be MLT Motorsports’ #142 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, driven by Adrian Kunzle, one of MLT’s regular drivers in the Super Trofeo North America series.
Completing the field are six GT4 cars, including cameo appearances from Random Vandals Racing’s Paul Sparta (#98 BMW M4 GT4 EVO), and Rotek Racing’s Robb Holland (#099 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport). ACI Motorsports has made a driver change in the #7 Porsche, swapping in former Formula Regional Americas Championship driver Ricco Shlaimoun in place of Curt Swearingin.
Anthony McIntosh (#69 JTR Motorsports Engineering Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) and Max Hewitt (#39 Van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT4) will look to build on their victories in Sonoma.
