Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Luca Stolz will contest his 300th race for Mercedes-AMG on May 4th as part of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch.
The 29-year-old contested his first race with a Mercedes AMG racing car in 2013 and was promoted to the AMG squad in 2018.
Stolz’s track record includes two victories at the 12 Hours of Bathurst (2022, 2023), a victory in the 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi (2023), three race wins in the DTM, triumphs in the GT World Challenge, the Asian Le Mans Series and the ADAC GT Masters, podium finishes in the 24-hour races at the Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps and Daytona, and a championship title in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup (2018).
“300 races for Mercedes-AMG is an impressive number,” he says. “I can still remember my first races in 2013 and 2014 very well – including with renowned fellow drivers such as Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Mathias Lauda.
“I am very grateful to be able to represent the brand worldwide and look forward to many more highlights in the future.”
That number of 300 is about to be passed too by the Mercedes-AMG GT3. The 300th car is set to be delivered shortly to long-term customer Team GetSpeed.
That’s a significant total for the car launched to replace the successful SLS GT3 in 2015 with the Evo version of the car coming along in 2020.
