The Automobile Club de l’Ouest has laid out its plans for a new and improved spectator experience at the 2025 running of the Le Mans 24 Hours next month.
Fans will benefit from the addition of two new fan zones, bringing the total number to five at the Circuit de La Sarthe for race week. These zones, plus the two villages (one for manufacturer displays, the other for hydrogen displays), will be open from Tuesday, June 10th, until the end of the race on Sunday, June 15th.
The first new area is the ‘Karting Fan Zone’. Dedicated to motorsport, this zone boasts a “Racing Avenue paddock”, simulators, retrogaming, and the 24H Inside set. It also features a hilltop vantage point that offers views of the Porsche Curves and the Karting corner.
Tertre Rouge will also benefit from a new zone, with a rock-climbing wall, laser game, rope course and a dance floor, plus direct views of the track between the Dunlop bridge and the Forest Esses.
Beyond that, the three existing fan areas at the Concert area, East Gate and the ‘Family Fan Zone’ (located inside the circuit close to the Manufacturer Village) are back.
All the fan zones have big TV screens, snack bars and toilets.
Details of the two villages have also been released. Alpine, BMW M, Ford, Genesis, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Toyota Gazoo Racing and Iron Dames will all contribute to the Manufacturer Village.
Meanwhile, the ACO H2 Hydrogen Village will display projects from Symbio, McLaren Applied, Multimatic, Bosch, Isoclima, Sobek, Momo and Brightloop.
It will also have a 700-bar mobile H2 filling station from TotalEnergies, which will be used to give refuelling demonstrations on the Wednesday and Friday.
