The 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours resumed after a lengthy stoppage for a power failure, with the grid order for the restart determined by a combination of the order after nine laps, plus account being made for the minimum pit stop times.
That saw the #911 Manthey Porsche start from the front, with the #33 Falken Porsche second and the #14 GetSpeed Mercedes third.
Kondo Racing’s #45 Ferrari 296 GT3 has lost out in the restart procedure. The Rinaldi-run car held the lead at the red flag, which came shortly after the first round of pit stops, but has been dropped to fourth.
The race clock continued to count down under the Red Flag, with the race restarting at around the four-hour mark, with around 2 hours and 30 minutes lost to the interruption.
The issue was caused by a faulty air conditioning system, reported by the circuit to have been overloaded in the prevailing hot weather conditions. The offending system has been taken offline, with all other electrical circuits also tested and understood to be fault-free.
