AF Corse has announced it will expand to four Ferrari 296 GT3s for the final round of the 2025 International GT Open season at Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Italy.
Ibrahim Badawi and Leonardo Colavita will drive the additional entry at the Italian outfit’s home event, competing in the Pro category. Both drivers will be making their GT Open debut.
Badawi and Colavita, alongside David Vidales, won the Italian GT Championship Endurance Pro-Am drivers’ title for AF Corse this season, and also finished second in the overall drivers’ championship.
The pairing are also in contention for the Italian GT Sprint Pro-Am drivers’ title, with the Sprint finale taking place at Monza one week after GT Open’s visit. They currently sit fourth in the championship, five points off the lead, having finished every race so far this season on the podium.
GT Open will utilise its single-race, 500km format at Monza, where AF Corse will be aiming to win multiple titles. Carl Bennett and Tommaso Mosca sit third in the Pro drivers’ championship, having won the most recent race at Barcelona, whilst Michele Rugolo and Gino Forgione lead the way in the Am class. AF Corse also retain a slim shot at winning the teams’ title, with them currently 17 points back in fourth.
The Monza GT Open 500 takes place from 17th to 19th October 2025.
