Lacorte & Zagazeta To Test Vista AF Ferrari

Vista AF Corse has revealed that Nicola Lacorte and Matias Zagazeta will test the team’s Ferrari 296 LMGT3 in Bahrain next week during the FIA WEC rookie test.

18-year-old Lacorte, the son of six-time 24 Hours of Le Mans starter Roberto, made his sportscar debut at this year’s 24 Hours of Daytona, in an AF Corse-run Ferrari 296 GT3. The Italian subsequently followed it up with a start at the Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis, alongside his maiden FIA Formula 3 campaign.

Zagazeta, meanwhile, has spent the past two years racing in FIA Formula 3. The Peruvian got a taste of the 296 LMGT3 at the recent ELMS Rookie Test in Portimão, where he was fastest in both sessions.

The pairing might be joined in the Ferrari by Tom Fleming, who is the FIA WEC’s nominated rookie for the LMGT3 category. Vista AF Corse’s #21 296 GT3 currently sits second in the LMGT3 Teams’ championship, only 11 points behind the leader, with Fleming scheduled to run in the championship-winning machine.

The 2025 FIA WEC Rookie Test takes place on the 9th November 2025, the day after the season finale.
