The 30-minute session to determine which 10 cars go through for Super Pole tomorrow for the Qualification race of the 2025 FIA GT World Cup at Macau saw Joel Eriksson score the top time in his #46 Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom Audi.
The Swede set the only sub 2:16 of the session, a 2:15.927 to better an earlier session-topping time from #50 AF Corse Ferrari driver Antonio Fuoco.
The session saw a Red flag early on after Sheldon van der Linde hit the outside barrier on the exit of T22, the #31 WRT BMW out of the session.
Also losing out, out of the top 10 were Dorian Boccolacci, docked a lap time post session, Laurens Vanthoor (#992 Tempo by Absolute Racing Porsche), Benji Goethe (#5 Optimum McLaren), Adderly Fong (#36 Uno Racing Team Audi) and Andy Deng (#37 Winwhere Motorsports Ferrari).
The top spot in the session also saw Alessio Picariello and Laurin Heinrich take turns to top the times.
Both Heinrich and Raffaele Marciello were under investigation post-session for speeding in the pit lane.
The top ten was completed by Marciello (#53 ROWE BMW), Picariello (#911 Tempo by Absolute Porsche), Güven (#11 Schumacher CLRT Porsche), Ye (#83 Harmony Racing Ferrari), Heinrich (#22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche), Mortara (#63 Absolute Corse Lamborghini), Haase (#45 FAW Audi Sport Asia Phantom Racing Audi), and Luca Engstler (#19 Absolute Corse Lamborghini).
