Nova Race Makes BMW Switch

Italian GT outfit Nova Race has announced it will run the BMW M4 GT3 Evo next season, bringing to an end its five-year partnership with Honda.

The Varese-based team was the exclusive customer of the NSX GT3 Evo25, a regionally homologated update to the car built by JAS Motorsport, which is based just 50 kilometres from Nova Race’s headquarters.

Nova Race first competed with the NSX GT3 Evo in 2021, winning the Endurance Am title in the Italian GT Championship. Outright success followed the year after, as Jacopo Guidetti and Leonardo Moncini won the Italian GT Sprint Drivers’ title and helped Nova Race to the Teams’ crown aboard an NSX GT3 Evo22.

Ahead of the 2025 season, JAS Motorsport overhauled the car into the NSX GT3 Evo25, with improved cooling and enhanced aerodynamics. It proved to be a competitive proposition, scoring a class victory on its Sprint debut and going on to record three overall podiums.

As well as Italian GT, Nova Race also made appearances with the NSX GT3 in series such as GT World Challenge Europe and GT Open.

The team is working on returning to the Italian GT Championship with a two-car effort in 2026, alongside the aspiration of once again competing internationally.
