Vector Sport RLR has announced its drivers for its maiden assault on the Asian Le Mans Series this winter.
For the upcoming campaign, Daniel Schneider, Vladislav Lomko and Jacob Abel will pilot the team’s #70 ORECA 07-Gibson in the LMP2 category.
Schneider is an Asian Le Mans Series rookie, and joins Vector Sport RLR following three consecutive European Le Mans Series LMP2 campaigns with United Autosports.
“I am extremely excited to join Vector Sport RLR for its LMP2 programme in Asia,” the Brazilian said. “It’s a new environment, big challenge and everything to play for.”
Lomko stays with Vector Sport having contested this year’s ELMS with Vector, helping them to fourth in the teams’ championship.
The 20-year-old made his Asian Le Mans Series debut in 2023, competing in LMP3 with Vector Sport, and has subsequently raced with COOL Racing and Proton Competition in the series’ LMP2 category.
“It’s great to be joining Vector for another programme and a continuation of a very strong relationship,” Lomko said. “I am sure we will all work well together and form the kind of strong bond the team always promotes and achieves.”
The line-up is completed by 24-year-old Abel, who raced in IndyCar this year with Dale Coyne Racing. Although new to both prototypes and the Asian Le Mans Series, the American does have some sportscar history, having run select races in North America aboard an Acura NSX GT3 in 2021.
“I’m very excited for the challenge,” Abel said.
“The team has built a great programme and I am eager to get on track and get started. There will certainly be a learning curve with the new tracks but I am very confident my experience will help me get up to speed quickly and ultimately help the team achieve strong results.”
Vector Sport RLR is making its Asian Le Mans Series debut off the back of its strongest season to date, having achieved multiple podium finishes and its highest-ever championship position in the ELMS.
“The three drivers give a great mix of speed, experience and maturity; they all understand endurance well and know that we have to be in the race when it really matters,” Team Principal Gary Holland commented.
“The championship has an impressive entry list and we know most of the teams from racing them at Le Mans and in ELMS. The ACO have done a tremendous job in growing the Asian Le Mans Series and we are grateful to be part of it.
“We cannot wait to get started in Sepang and carry on with the positive momentum we have as a team from our ELMS campaign.”
The 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series begins on the 12th to 14th December 2025, with a pair of four-hour races at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
