Enzo Trulli has been named as the 2026 Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver, with the 20-year-old, second-generation driver succeeding Dorian Boccolacci in the role.
The son of ex-Formula 1 driver Jarno made his debut in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia this season, winning the opening race of the campaign at the Shanghai International Circuit and going on to finish second in the drivers’ championship as top rookie.
This performance earned the Italian his spot as the youngest ever Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver, as he follows in the footsteps of Alessio Picariello, Ye Yifei and Boccolacci.
The scheme offers the chosen driver financial backing, physical training camps, marketing training and support from two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans class winner and Porsche Driver Coach, Sascha Maassen.
“It’s a dream come true to become the new Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver for 2026,” Trulli said.
“I loved my time in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last season and I learned a lot about Porsche and racing in Asia. The highlight of the year was my pole and win on debut in Shanghai, while also discovering new tracks in the region.
“My experience in the championship will be a huge help for me in the upcoming season, I loved the atmosphere and feel at each race, the fans are incredible in Asia and make every event feel special. I have a lot more to learn and it will be a busy year but I’ll work hard to adapt quickly and show my speed on track.”
Details of Trulli’s 2026 race programme are yet to be confirmed, outside of the Italian’s debut in the Asian Le Mans Series aboard an Algarve Pro Racing ORECA 07–Gibson LMP2, but the intention is that he will be racing Porsche GT machinery both in Asia and internationally.
Boccolacci, in turn, has been promoted to the position of official Porsche contracted driver. The Frenchman has become a regular in 911 GT3 R (992) machinery across the past two seasons, including all-professional efforts in GT World Challenge Europe, Intercontinental GT Challenge and the FIA GT World Cup at Macau.
The 27-year-old is the second Asia Pacific Selected Driver to go on to become an official Porsche driver, after Picariello, whilst Ye instead became an official Ferrari driver upon the end of his time with the programme.
“I’m delighted with how my year as Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver went as I now move into my new role as a Porsche Driver,” Boccolacci commented.
“I’ve received lots of support to help me improve as a driver both in and outside the car. It was a great season as I competed at some prestigious events in the Asia-Pacific region and internationally. All this great guidance and experience has allowed me to take the next step in my career with the marque by being named a Porsche Driver. I’m excited for what the future holds, and I can’t wait to race around the globe representing the brand.”
As with Trulli, Boccolacci’s 2026 race programme is yet to be announced.
Maassen commented: “I’m very happy that Dorian is taking the next step of his career with Porsche after having such a strong history with the marque through one-make Series, GT Sport and the Selected Driver Programme, so this new role as a Porsche Driver is well deserved.
“I’ve worked and supported each Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver since the start of the programme and Enzo is the youngest one yet. He made such a strong impression in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia during 2025 and we have ambitious plans for his development, so I’m looking forward to working with him in 2026.”
