WRT confirmed earlier this week that their 2026 LMGT3 line-ups for the 2026 FIA WEC in the BMW M4 GT3 Evos will see the departure of both of their 2025 Bronze-rated drivers.
Yasser Shahin is expected to switch to a similarly new-look Manthey Porsche effort whilst Ahmad Al Harthy looks set to depart together with his two-season long Silver-ranked team-mate Valentino Rossi.
Rossi looks likely to switch to GT World Challenge once again for 2026 despite the regulations regarding tyre provision in LMGT3 being confirmed as switching to ab effective one stint tyre allocation as the Italian Moto GP legend is understood to have requested.

For 2026 WRT will welcome back Darren Leung who raced in the first season of LMGT3 with the team in 2024, claiming a race win at Imola. After a single season with United Autosport in the McLaren the British driver returns with BMW, alongside his continuing efforts in his own Paradine Competition team in SRO competition.

American racer Anthony McIntosh, a double Am Champion in the Lamborghini SuperTrofeo North America and a former Am champion in the Italian GT Sprint championship, switches to WRT and BMW after a three race spell in a Racing Spirit of Leman Aston Martin last season.
Vincent VOSSE, Team Principal BMW M Team WRT: “We are delighted to announce our IMSA and WEC drivers, and to see such great stability in the line-ups. This establishment tells a lot and is a valuable asset as we continue growing towards our objectives. In the WEC, we continue with the same trios. In IMSA, for what will be our first season and the great challenge of our 2026 season, there is a little reshuffling, although the drivers are the same. I am also very happy to unveil the first bit of our LMGT3 line-ups for the WEC. It’s a great pleasure to have Darren back with us, and we are happy to welcome such an enthusiastic recruit as Anthony. I am sure that with this pool of drivers, and the ones still to be named, we can aim for great results.”
