Three-time Mercedes-AMG has revealed its complete driver line-up for the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour, with the German marque set to be represented by a record 10 cars at the event.
Six AMG GT3 Evos will compete in Pro, with two each in Pro-Am and Bronze.
The only multi-car effort comes courtesy of Mercedes-AMG’s official customer racing partner in Oceania, Tigani Motorsport.
Philip Ellis, Jayden Ojeda and Fabian Schiller will share the #6 Geyer Valmont-backed #6 AMG GT3 Evo in Pro, which will compete under the ‘Mercedes-AMG Team Tigani Motorsport’ banner.
Geyer Valmont is also sponsoring Tigani’s #44 Pro-Am AMG of Scott Andrews, Brendon Leitch, Sergio Pires and Marcel Zalloua, whilst Zach Bates, James Koundouris, Theo Koundouris and David Russell will share the #47 Supabarn Supermarkets entry in Bronze.
Two-time winner 75 Express, which has not finished off the podium since 2020, is returning with an unchanged driver line-up of Jules Gounon, Kenny Habul and Luca Stolz, whilst Mercedes-AMG Team GMR has also retained the same trio as 12 months ago. Factory drivers Maro Engel, Mikaël Grenier and Maxime Martin will share its #888 AMG.
2025 pole sitter Lucas Auer and Maximilian Götz are both returning to Mercedes-AMG Team Craft-Bamboo Racing, alongside rookie Ralf Aron. It appears that plans for Craft-Bamboo Racing to expand to two cars in 2026 and add a Pro-Am effort have been scrapped.
Reigning Bathurst 1000 winner Grove Racing has entered the #100 AMG GT3 Evo for Kai Allen, Will Davison and Brenton Grove, whilst Chaz Mostert, Thomas Randle and Cameron Waters will race for Scott Taylor Motorsport and its #222 entry.
RAM Motorsport / GWR Australia will compete in Pro-Am, with Brett Hobson, Dylan O’Keeffe, Mike Sheargold and Gareth Walden lining up in the #45 AMG for the team’s first start since 2022.
Meanwhile, Ian James is the only driver named for the Bronze-entered #27 Heart of Racing by SPS entry, which won the class last year.

“With ten Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars – including six vehicles in the Pro class – we will once again field the largest brand entry in the grid in 2026, underlining the strength and appeal of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 for our Customer Racing Teams worldwide.
“The Mount Panorama Circuit is one of the most technically demanding tracks in GT racing and places the highest demands on the car, the team and the drivers. Our goal is clear: we want to fight for overall victory once again at the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.”
The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour, the opening round of this year’s Intercontinental GT Challenge, will be held on the weekend of 13th to 15th February 2026.
