The Official IMSA Spotter Guide by Andy Blackmore Design is now available to download at SpotterGuides.com
The guide features 111 illustrations across the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the Michelin Pilot SportsCar Challenge.
Now in its 18th year, the guide is fully supported by IMSA, and the illustrations will also feature in their Fan Guide, available at the circuit.
Andy thanks every single team for their help and assistance with the creation of the guides at their busiest time.
As always, the guide also features a number of Andy’s liveries in both championships, and Mr Blackmore has had a busy off-season.
WeatherTech SportsCar Championship
Turner Motorsport are running a one-off 50:50 Split livery for their GTD entry in the Rolex 24, celebrating their partnership with Liqui Moly.
Andy Blackmore: “Will (Turner) and I have discussed this on and off for a few years after I created a 50:50 illustration of the M4 GTD for the back of their race haulers. More recently, we did a split with esports team BS+ Competition and iLiveries”.
This is the twelfth year Andy and Turner Motorsport have worked together on the team’s iconic, but always evolving, liveries.
“I often use Turner’s liveries as an example to other teams. Motorsport is one of the few sports where the team (often) can’t show the team identity. By retaining the Turner stripes each year, we have come to an era where it no longer really matters if the car is Turner Blue and yellow, you know it’s one of their cars when Liqui Moly or, in the case of GT World Challenge, Laticrete colours.”
Elsewhere in the WeatherTech paddock, Andy updated the livery of the Wright Motorsport Porsche 911 GTD with its topographical circuit graphic.
“Incorporating race circuits into the stripes was originally Wright Motorsport owner, Adam Adelson’s idea a few years ago, so we have evolved this each year. For 2026, we also incorporated the arrows from the team logo into the retro Porsche stripe on the side. One of my favourites of recent years and another example of evolution over revolution to create a memorable team identity.”
Andy also updated the Virtual Energy livery for Magnus Racing, while the Paul Miller Racing entry in GTD Pro, which was developed off of the M4 GTD Evo launch car livery, is relatively unchanged for 2026.
Michelin Pilot SportsCar Challenge
A large number of designs also feature in the Michelin Pilot Challenge.
Andy has partnered with KohR Motorsports for a second year and created two liveries for their Mustang GT4. The #59 carries, a development of the stars and stripes livery (designed in Canada, by a Brit!) and a special treatment for #60 with a tribute livery for the late, Greg Biffle, family and friends who sadly lost their lives in a plane crash just before Christmas.
Andy: “Kohr and their partner Roush had a long association with the Biffle family, so it was fitting, with the family’s blessing, they wanted to run a tribute livery. We were looking through potential designs, and I found Greg won his NASCAR Busch championship in 2002 with the same number KohR races, so that made it an obvious choice.
“A few adjustments to make a NASCAR livery fit a Mustang, but it has come out well, and it’s fitting all those who passed on that flight are listed as ‘Racing with’ on the hood and roof of the car.”
Keeping on the Mustang theme, Andy has recreated Team TGM’s livery on the GT4 machine, the colour splits working really well with the aggressive lines of the Mustang. Another long-term client.
A new client for Andy in 2026, Murillo Racing returns to the Michelin Pilot competition with newlyweds, Aurora Straus and Kenny Murillo. P1 Motor Club is a new circuit and members’ club in Florida, so a vibrant livery was required for this new partnership.
CarBahn, Rebel Rock and Turner round out the Michelin Pilot grid with existing ‘ABD’ liveries, making a total of 17 liveries on the grid, including the two IMSA AMR Porsche Cayenne safety cars!
