The entry list for this weekend’s final round of the Asian Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi, has been released, with multiple driver changes confirmed across the 46-car field.
LMP2 is the only category completely unchanged, with the 16 ORECA 07 – Gibsons set to feature the same 48 pilots as last weekend, though Fred Poordad’s status for RD Limited is not yet confirmed. Poordad has returned to the UAE after travelling to Europe for treatment to alleviate his back pain, but the team hasn’t yet decided if James Sweetnam will stand in for him again.
In the 10-car LMP3 class, R-ACE GP has once again overhauled the crew of its #85 Duqueine D09 – Toyota. Fabian Michal and Pierre-Alexandre Provost, who raced for the team in Sepang, return to the line-up and are joined by sportscar debutant Zack Scoular.
18-year-old Scoular heads to Abu Dhabi in strong form, having won the Formula Regional Oceania Trophy’s blue-riband New Zealand Grand Prix last weekend.
And in GT, Custodio Toledo and Riccardo Agostini will feature in the #54 Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3, in place of Nigel Schoonderwoerd and Yelmer Buurman.
Toledo and Agostini were runner-up in the European Le Mans Series’ LMGT3 category last year, and also participated in last season’s Asian Le Mans Series with the Italian team.
At Proton Competition, meanwhile, Kiyoto Fujinami is set to return to the #77 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), having been replaced by Huub van Eijndhoven at Dubai.
The #89 EBM Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo, which was withdrawn from Dubai due to the team being unable to field a Bronze-rated driver, is not listed, leaving the GT field at 20 cars.
The championship titles (plus Le Mans invitations for the LMP2 and GT champions) remain up for grabs in all three categories, with a total of 21 cars still in mathematical contention across the classes.
In LMP2, the #47 Cetilar Racing and #4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR ORECAs are tied on points for the championship lead, with the Italian team ahead courtesy of more second-place finishes.
Algarve Pro Racing’s #25 ORECA is third, 16 points down, and is the final realistic contender for the title and automatic invitation to the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans.
In LMP3, the first four crews are separated by just 11 points, with CLX Motorsport’s #17 Ligier only one point ahead of the #13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier at the top of the table.
The #29 Forestier Racing by VPS entry is third, eight points behind, with 23Events Racing’s #71 Ligier in fourth.
Kessel Racing holds a comfortable advantage in GT, with its #74 Ferrari 21 points ahead of defending champion Manthey and its #10 Porsche.
Should the Swiss outfit slip up, however, only eight points separate the #10 Porsche, #9 GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG, #69 Team WRT BMW and #87 Origine Motorsport Porsche, all of whom could realistically challenge for the title if they can string together two strong finishes this weekend.
The 2026 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi, the final round of the 2025-26 Asian Le Mans Series, will take place from 6th to 8th February 2026 at the Yas Marina Circuit. After two Free Practice sessions on Friday 6th, Qualifying and Race 1 will be held on Saturday, before the championship decider on Sunday.
