Audi has announced that Rouven Mohr will return to the organisation to take on the role of chief technical officer and serve as a member of the board of management from March 1st 2026.
Mohr transitions into his new position from sister-Volkswagen Group brand Lamborghini, where he currently serves as its technical head (appointed in 2022) and the interim head of motorsport at Squadra Corse, overseeing the rollout of the Temerario GT3 and development work on the upcoming Super Trofeo model.
At Audi, Mohr takes over from Geoffrey Bouquot, who has decided to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company. He joins, having amassed 18 years of experience in the VAG Group. Prior to working with Lamborghini, Mohr held leadership roles in vehicle development, verification, and fleet emissions at Audi.

Crucially, Mohr will continue to serve in his role as chief technical officer at Lamborghini until a decision has been made regarding his succession. He told DSC back at the Daytona 24 Hours in January that Lamborghini is aiming to appoint a new head of motorsport – to replace Maurizio Leschiutta – in the coming weeks.
“Motorsport is under my responsibility as a CTO, because motorsport is part of R&D in Lamborghini, I’m also very passionate about motorsports,” he explained. “But it’s also clear that I cannot do it continuously, because it needs a dedicated person. And it’s only a bridging solution.
“My target is that from the real season start, Daytona was not possible, but from the real season start, let’s say Sebring (12 Hours), latest the race after, I can be a guest at races. This is my target.”
