James Allen returns to Nielsen Racing in 2026 after a strong 2025 ELMS campaign with the British-based squad.
The Australian already has an ELMS title to his name back in 2023 with a pair of Le Mans LMP2 Pro-Am wins too, also for APR and a dramatic last-gasp LMP2 class victory at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in 2023 for Proton Competition.
He’ll join Alex Quinn and Kriton Lentoudis in the #27 LMP2 Pro/Am entry after a breakthrough win in the 4 Hours of Le Castellet at Paul Ricard marked the high point of the team’s season last year securing second place overall for the team in the race, Nielsen Racing’s best finish in the championship to date.
He added another podium at Portimão to close out the season, rounding off an impressive year.
Quinn and Lentoudis finished as championship runners-up in both 2024 and 2025 for Algarve Pro racing, taking two wins in each season and firmly establishing themselves as title contenders.
