Lionspeed GP has finalised its driver line-up for the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, as the German squad steps up to the Pro class for the first time.
The previously confirmed Bastian Buus will be joined in the #80 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2) by fellow Porsche contracted driver Ricardo Feller, and Porsche factory driver Thomas Preining.
Buus and Feller both raced for Lionspeed in GT World Challenge Europe last season, with Feller contesting the full campaign, whilst Buus competed in the Sprint Cup. This year, Feller will also form part of the team’s line-up at the ADAC 24H Nürburgring.
Preining, meanwhile, will drive with Lionspeed for the first time. The 2023 DTM drivers’ champion ran with fellow Porsche outfit Pure Rxcing in Pro last season, and will combine this programme with assaults on the DTM and IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup with Manthey in 2026.
The Pro entry forms part of an expanded two-car effort for Lionspeed in this year’s Endurance Cup. Its #89 Porsche will race in the Bronze Cup, with Alex Fontana, Patrick Kolb and Bashar Mardini behind the wheel.
The German team will also run two cars in the Sprint Cup. Fontana and Mardini will share the #89 911 GT3 R, whilst Buus is the only driver confirmed for the #80 entry so far.
The 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup begins next weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard, France on 10th to 11th April 2026.
