KPX Motorsport has announced that David Pittard and Jop Rappange will race its #77 BMW M4 GT3 Evo in this year’s GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.
The new team, which will compete in the Gold Cup class, was founded by former teammates Peter Kox and Nico Pronk last year.
Ex-Aston Martin works driver Pittard last competed in the Sprint Cup in 2024, when he ran a part-season campaign with Comtoyou Racing. This year, the 34-year-old will combine this Sprint Cup assault with a programme with KCMG on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
“Nico and Peter have put together a fantastic and motivated team with high ambitions,” Pittard said.
“GTWC Sprint is one of the most competitive championships in the world, so we are throwing ourselves in at the deep end. However, I believe we can learn fast and challenge for class honours this year!”
Rappange, meanwhile, is set to make his Sprint Cup debut. The Dutchman has raced in GT3 machinery for the past five years, and is no stranger to GT World Challenge competition, having ran in the Endurance Cup on several occasions, including with Dinamic GT last season.
“It may be a relatively new team, but it is built on a wealth of experience and knowledge,” Rappange commented. “I am very much looking forward to this challenge and to showing what we can achieve this year.”
Kox added: “As a former factory driver David brings extensive experience and truly knows what it takes to compete at the front of the field. Jop is a fast driver who has increasingly transitioned his experience into results. It’s a great combination, and we head into the season with confidence.”
The Dutch squad has spent the off-season getting to grips with its new M4 GT3 Evo, testing at multiple venues, including at the Slovakia Ring this week. Its day-to-day technical operations will be led by experienced former BMW team-owner Uwe Isert.
“It is a privilege to take this step with Nico, and also with Uwe, to whom I owe a great deal in my career,” Kox said.
“We have built a team of highly motivated people and secured top-level equipment as we want to leave nothing to chance. We aim to make a strong impression in this championship, and I firmly believe we can achieve that.”
KPX Motorsport’s maiden GT World Challenge Europe campaign begins at Brands Hatch on 2nd to 3rd May 2026.
