19 cars are set to participate in this weekend’s maiden Legends of Le Mans round, held on the support package for the FIA WEC season-opening 6 Hours of Imola.
An eight-car LMP1 field is headlined by four Peugeot 908s, split across two V12 and two V8 machines.
Shaun Lynn and Kriton Lentoudis will race the BBM Sport-prepared 908 HDI FAPs, with Stuart Wiltshire and Steve Brooks driving the V8 versions for BBM Sport and OC Racing respectively.
Former European Le Mans Series team Race Performance will field a pair of Lolas for Michel Frey and Marcel Aebi, whilst Christian Albrecht is set to pilot a Lola Aston Martin DBR1/2. Reigning Le Mans Cup LMP3 Pro/am drivers’ champion Eric De Doncker will run in an OAK Pescarolo 01.
Nine cars will run in LMP2, which features several names familiar to the ACO paddock.
Rinaldi Racing is set to field a trio of Ligier JS P2s, for Pierre Ehret, Jacques Nicolet and Michael Doppelmayr.
An ORECA 05 will be driven by Evgeny Kireev, whilst Nick Adcock will race a BBM Sport-entered Lola B11/83 Coupe.
François Heriau will race an LMP2-spec OAK Pescarolo 01, with Andy Cummings piloting a Pescarolo 01 Morgan.
A HPD ARX-04 will race on an ACO bill for the first time, in the hands of Mark Drain.
And François Perrodo will represent the 2000s aboard a Porsche RS Spyder.
The grid is completed by the two-car GTE class.
Franz Wunderlich will drive an Aston Martin Vantage AMR, while Professor Wolfgang Henseler will race an ex-Alex Job Racing Lotus Evora GTE.
Legends of Le Mans, organised by the ACO and Peter Auto, will run a pair of 40-minute races at Imola this weekend, with one each on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April.
Both races will be live-streamed on the Peter Auto YouTube channel, with commentary from WEC TV’s Martin Haven and Graham Goodwin.
