This weekend’s 6 Hours of Imola is set to be the first FIA WEC event to broadcast on FIAWEC+, following the service’s global debut at last weekend’s European Le Mans Series opener.
The race, with English, French and no commentary options, can be viewed on FIAWEC+ by purchasing either a 365 pass or a race pass.
With the launch of FIAWEC+, for the first time in series history, the championship’s own pay-per-view broadcast is not subject to any georestrictions.
Alongside FIAWEC+, the race will also be broadcast on TV in over 190 countries. Over the off-season, the championship has penned multiple new TV deals, with the likes of Warner Bros. Discovery and beIN Sports, whilst SPOTV has picked up the Korean rights, and has a reporter on-site this weekend, to track Genesis’ Hypercar debut.
The championship has also recently announced a new multi-year deal in the USA. All eight races will air on HBO Max, with three rounds – Le Mans, Sao Paulo and COTA – also being broadcast on truTV.
This weekend’s support action can be followed on YouTube, with Legends of Le Mans being streamed on the Peter Auto channel, whilst Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will be shown on the one-make series’ own channel.
