The entry list for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans has received a further update, with Lorcan Hanafin replacing Afiq Ikhwan aboard TF Sport’s #2 Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R.
The invitational entry, which TF Sport received for winning the LMGT3 category in the 2025 European Le Mans Series, will be fielded as a joint-effort between the British squad and Johor Motorsports JMR.
Hanafin will join two of Johor Motorsports JMR’s regular drivers, Prince Jefri Ibrahim and Ben Green, in the car, bringing some Le Mans experience to the otherwise all-rookie line-up.
The 23-year-old made his debut at the event last year, aboard an Iron lynx-run Mercedes-AMG LMGT3.
Although new to the Corvette in LMGT3 configuration, Hanafin has previously raced the car in last year’s GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup for Steller Motorsport.
In 2026, the Briton is taking on an impressive triple programme, racing three different cars, for three different teams, across three different championships.
He heads to Le Mans off the back of a class podium finish in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Monza with Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn, and is also racing in the European Le Mans Series with GR Racing, and GT World Challenge America with JMF Motorsports, this season.
The latter programme is set to be impacted by Le Mans, with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s blue-riband event clashing with GT World Challenge America’s Road Atlanta round.
“I raced Le Mans for the first Vme last year and it’s a very special event. The scrutineering, the driver’s parade, the circuit itself and the whole atmosphere in the town is really special,” Hanafin commented.
“I’m very excited to be working with Prince Jefri, Ben Green and the whole JMR team this year. I think we can get a good result – we’ve got a very good line-up, JMR builds a very fast race car and the team is very strong, with numerous podiums and race wins around the world. We just need to be consistent, fast, stay out of trouble, and make sure we’re in the fight when the sun comes up.”
The 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place on 10th to 14th June 2026
