WRT Reveals New Livery For #32 BMW…
Following on from the reveal of the livery for its #69 BMW M4 LMGT3 Evo, Team WRT has also unveiled a new look for its sister #32 BMW ahead of this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Inspired by artwork from Darren Leung’s Paradine company, the car’s Le Mans scheme adds a new twist to its regular FIA WEC design, with the introduction of shades of blue and green to the traditionally red M4 LMGT3 Evo.
Leung, Augusto Farfus, and Sean Gelael will race the car, in a reprisal of the trio that finished second in LMGT3 in 2024.
…and #20 Hypercar!
The #20 BMW M Team WRT Hybrid V8 will also run an updated livery, with a different take on the colours of primary sponsor Shell.
René Rast and Robin Frijns enter Le Mans in the lead of the Hypercar drivers’ world championship, having won the 6 Hours of Spa alongside Sheldon van der Linde, who will again join them at Le Mans.
WRT has also confirmed that its #15 M Hybrid V8 will run in its regular FIA WEC livery.
Manthey Show Silver-Based Liveries For Porsche Pair
Manthey is aiming for a third consecutive LMGT3 class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the team’s pair of Porsche 911 GT3Rs the only representatives of the marque at this year’s race.
Both cars will compete in silver livery to mark “75 Years of Porsche Motorsport”.
Porsche say that the livery is based on the design of the 1951 Porsche 356 SL Coupé. The car was Porsche’s first entry for the race and scored the brand’s first class win on debut with Frenchmen Auguste Veuillet and Edmond Mouche.
Since then Porsche have scored a total of 19 overall victories and 112 class wins. 2026 marks the 76th consecutive year that at least one Porsche will be on the starting grid of the world’s largest endurance race.
RD Limited Reveal Colours For Le Mans Debut
The #48 Oreca will make RD Limited’s debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours in the colours below, revealed by the team’s own social media overnight.
Romain Dumas is the co-owner of the squad and will combine with Bronze rated Fred Poordad and Tristan Vautier to make his own 24th appearance at the race, a total that includes overall wins for both Audi and Porsche.
Rolex celebrates Silver anniversary
2026 marks the 25th anniversary of Rolex’s stint as the official timepiece of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the brand having first assumed the role in 2001.
“Rolex’s loyalty reflects the very spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans – where tradition and innovation coexist – and we are proud to celebrate this relationship,” said ACO president Pierre Fillon.
“This association has strengthened the symbolic and practical importance of timing, reminding us that Le Mans is as much a race against the clock as it is against rivals.”
This year’s outright winning drivers will each receive a Rolex oyster perpetual cosmograph Daytona.
