The Radical Cup series will expand to a new territory in 2027 as Radical Cup Japan has been launched, with its first race expected to take place next May.
The new series will be organised and managed directly by Radical Japan, with technical and operational support provided by premier Asian sports car racing firm Craft-Bamboo Racing (which has recently expanded to include a dedicated GT3 team based in Japan). Four race meetings and a total of eight races are scheduled to take place, with venues announced including Sportsland Sugo, Mobility Resort Motegi, Tsukuba Circuit, and Okayama International Circuit.
To prepare for the launch of the new series, Radical Japan will use two late-2026 track days to gauge interest from incoming drivers and prospective buyers of either the Radical SR3 XXR and SR3 XX.
The first will be the Radical Japan Exhibition Race at Okayama on November 3, which will be structured in the same format as the 2027 season’s meetings – two races, plus practice sessions and qualifying.
The second will be the Radical Japan Training Day on 12 December at Motegi, which includes test driving and time attack sessions, as well as educational opportunities with professional drivers.
Radical Japan has announced a limited-edition SR3 XXR Launch Package, limited to just ten united and starting at ¥22,833,800 (or just over £105,382 GBP). This package provides its customers with a ready-to-race car which meets all Radical Cup Japan requirements.
