Razoon – more than racing will return to the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup’s Pro class at Zandvoort next weekend, with Klaus Bachler and Simon Birch set to pilot its #914 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2).
The Austrian outfit has endured a difficult 2026 campaign in GT World Challenge Europe, with frequent changes of class and driver line-up. Its best result to-date has been sixth in Pro-Am at the 24 Hours of Spa.
With Bachler and Birch, Razoon – more than racing is returning to the line-up with which it made its GT World Challenge Europe debut at Misano last year.
It will be Bachler’s first GT World Challenge Europe start of the season, whilst 19-year-old Birch previously raced for Razoon – more than racing in the Sprint Cup season opener at Brands Hatch.
“It’s naturally very nice, as an Austrian, to be racing for an Austrian team that has now established itself on the GT3 scene,” said Porsche contracted driver Bachler.
“Given that we’re in the middle of the season and moving up to the Pro class, it’s not exactly straightforward, as the ban on testing meant we couldn’t really prepare properly. Nevertheless, we were aware of this and are still preparing as best we can. The competition is, of course, fierce, and we can’t afford to make any mistakes. Our aim is to drive a flawless race and achieve the best possible result in both races.”
Team owner Dominik Olbert commented: “For us, the outing at Zandvoort is a developmental opportunity to learn as much as possible whilst preparing for planned racing programmes in top-class GT racing series. We’re delighted that Klaus, one of the world’s best Porsche drivers, will be racing for our team.
“We were already able to learn a great deal from his expertise last year. A top-10 finish would be a fantastic result and is our aim, given that so far this year we’ve only competed in the Sprint Cup at Brands Hatch. Thanks to our experience in the ADAC GT Masters, we already know the circuit very well, which gives us confidence.”
The penultimate round of the 2026 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup will take place at Zandvoort on 18th to 20th September 2026.
