ELMS 4H Silverstone: Friday Paddock Notes

CLX Motorsport takes on 24H Velo

These days, Le Mans plays host to no fewer than five annual 24-hour races: car, motorbike, truck, kart and bicycle.

Of course, the focus for the majority of the ELMS paddock is around the sportscar edition, but this year CLX Motorsport elected to follow up its fifth-place LMP2 finish in June with an assault on last month’s 24H Velo.

Raising money for Mécénat Chirugie Cardiaque, a charity which supports children born with heart defects, CLX’s eight-rider roster, which included reigning ELMS LMP3 drivers’ champion Paul Lanchere, covered 845 kilometres in 24 hours to finish 10th in class.

Paddock decor celebrates Pit Stop Challenge victors

The columns positioned in the paddock opposite each team’s garage have received a minor update for this weekend. IDEC Sport, M Racing and Kessel Racing have all received a ‘Pit Stop Challenge by TotalEnergies 2026 Winner’ detail, following their success in the previous round at Spa-Francorchamps.

Updated Le Mans Cup entry hands Jules Treluyer LMP3 debut

An updated entry list has been released for the Michelin Le Mans Cup, with three changes in LMP3 and one in GT.

The #7 Nielsen Racing Duqueine, for the third time in four races, is a late withdrawal, whilst Callum Voison, who raced for High Class Racing in the Asian Le Mans Series, has filled the ‘TBC’ slot in the #43 Inter Europol Competition Ligier.

And at Trajectus Motorsport, Jules Treluyer will make his LMP3 and Le Mans Cup debut, having replaced Mathis Poulet in the #22 Ligier.

“This will be a lot of first for me: first time in this car, first time in this category, first time at Silverstone, and first time in this championship,” Treluyer, a member of Porsche Japan’s talent pool and the son of three-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Benoit, posted to social media.

“It won’t be an easy weekend: a lot to learn in a short amount of time, and I’ll need to find my rhythm fast. But I’m going in fully focused and ready to give everything I have.”

And in GT, Code Racing Development has updated its line-up on the morning of the pre-event test. George King, who raced for Inter Europol Competition in LMP3 Pro/Am at Spa, and Stéphane Lemeret will share the #11 Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 in place of Pascal Huteau and Viny Beltrameilli.

24 cars for Ligier European Series

24 cars have been entered for he penultimate round of the Ligier European Series, with 15 Ligier JS P4s and nine Ligier JS2 Rs.

In JS P4, just four points separate the top two crews. The #14 Team Virage Ligier of Alex Gardner and Simon Schranz, which won Race 1 at Spa-Francorchamps, holds a four-point lead over the #6 ANS Motorsport entry of Ethan Pharamond and Mika Abrahams. The #7 LR Motorsport effort of Simone Riccitelli and Pietro Ferri sits 30 points back in third.

In JS2 R, Daniel Dallakyan and Antonin Bernard seemingly have one hand on the title aboard the #41 VSF Sport car, with the pair having a 57-point lead over the #84 Trajectus Motorsport entry of Jack Tabery and Martin Tabery. The father-and-son Tabery pairing lead the Pro/Am standings.

This weekend, the Ligier European Series will run both of its races on Saturday.

Naran hypercar on-site

In the paddock during Thursday’s pre-event test was the Naran, a limited-edition, front-engined, rear-wheel drive hypercar which is set to be launched next year.

The British-based company, which was founded by Iron Lynx driver Ameerh Naran, is set to produce a run of 39 cars.

C.Joseph Vijay to wave Michelin Le Mans Cup green flag

The chief minister of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, C.Joseph Vijay, will wave the green flag for Saturday’s two-hour Michelin Le Mans Cup encounter.

Vijay, a former actor, has recently announced plans to establish a motor sports city in the state, which would include an international-standard circuit. The plans have received public support from fellow actor, and Michelin Le Mans Cup competitor, Ajith Kumar.
