Outgoing GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup Teams’ Champion Rutronik Racing has confirmed that it will expand to a two-car Lamborghini Temerario GT3 programme for 2027.
The German squad made a high-profile switch from Porsche to Lamborghini over the off-season, coinciding with the launch of the Temerario GT3.
Rutronik Racing has fielded a single Temerario GT3 in GT World Challenge Europe’s Pro class this season, scoring a pair of podium finishes in Sprint Cup competition.
Alongside this, Rutronik has also run a Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2) in Bronze in the Endurance Cup, with this customer programme set to switch to Lamborghini from 2027 onwards to make for a two-car Temerario GT3 effort in GT World Challenge Europe.
The drivers for this programme are currently unconfirmed, although discussions have been held with interested parties.
“We want to expand our collaboration with Lamborghini through a long-term partnership,” said team principal Klaus Graf.
“In a very intense first year with the new Lamborghini Temerario GT3, we were able to make very positive progress on the project together with Lamborghini Squadra Corse and achieve our goals with podium finishes in the second half of the season. We were aware that switching manufacturers in conjunction with the introduction of the new Temerario GT3 would be no easy task, so I am particularly pleased with what we have achieved
“By expanding the project to two cars in the GT World Challenge Europe, we aim to deepen our collaboration with Lamborghini even further. The successes of our customer cars in recent years have impressively demonstrated the calibre of our customer projects.”
