Algarve Pro Racing Reveals All-New Crew For #20 ORECA Ahead Of Asian LMS

Six-time LMP2 Teams’ Champion Algarve Pro Racing has confirmed its second crew for the 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series season, with three new signings set to pilot the #20 ORECA 07 – Gibson LMP2.

Jens Reno Møller, Theodor Jensen and Charlie Wurz will share the car, which makes up part of a three-car effort from the Portuguese squad.

Møller joins APR after competing for High Class Racing last season, when he was the only driver to deny Giorgio Roda a perfect qualifying record. The Dane has since gone on to score his maiden LMP2 victory, winning in LMP2 Pro/Am at the European Le Mans Series’ 4 Hours of Imola in July.

“The Asian Le Mans Series offers a lot of racing in a very compressed timetable and that can mean that our new-look crew can learn together very quickly,” Møller said.

“I hope that my experience and the undoubted speed of Charlie and Theodor can put us in a position to compete hard in what is looking like a very impressive LMP2 field. I’m looking forward to experiencing what Algarve Pro Racing do well.  Their race and Championship-winning record speaks for itself.”

20-year-old Jensen, the 2024/25 Asian Le Mans LMP3 Drivers’ champion, made his LMP2 debut alongside his compatriot Møller last season. He then proceeded to contest the ELMS and 24 Hours of Le Mans with CLX Motorsport, becoming part of the youngest trio to ever finish the latter event.

“I have enjoyed my first season in LMP2 and hope to bring some of the lessons I have learned to this effort,” Jensen said.

“To anyone who has shared a paddock with APR, you cannot fail but to be impressed by their record. I know that’s been a big part of the moves that have put Jens, Charlie and myself together and I know that all three of us can’t wait to go racing.”

Wurz is set to make his prototype debut, with the son of two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Alex Wurz returning to Europe having raced in Japan in Super Formula this year.

Although new to the ORECA – Gibson, the 2022 Formula 4 UAE and 2023 Formula Regional Oceania Drivers’ champion does have some sportscar experience, including a pair of Super GT starts with Lexus GT300 squad apr (which is unrelated to Algarve Pro Racing) this season.

“I am excited and proud to join the APR team for the Asian Le Mans Series 2026/27,” Wurz declared.

“APR has an incredible track record in LMP2, and I’m looking forward to learning all I can from them and doing my best with this new challenge. As a long-time fan of endurance racing, I’m super pumped to get on track next week.”

Møller, Jensen and Wurz will be joined in the Algarve Pro Racing effort by the #4 CrowdStrike Racing by APR ORECA and the #25 entry of Michael Jensen, Enzo Trulli and Malthe Jakobsen as the Portuguese squad chases a record-extending fourth consecutive LMP2 Teams’ title.

“We love winning at Algarve Pro Racing, and we love bringing new faces to the team and helping them to find their best possible form very quickly,” commented team principal Stewart Cox.

“This trio has huge potential, and we expect them to be competitive from the start of the season, and to improve further from there.

“If they can do that, then I hope that they can make a full contribution to another championship win for the team.”

The 2026/27 Asian Le Mans Series season will begin at Circuit Paul Ricard, France on 13th to 15th November 2026.
