The LMP3 success story continues with RLR MSport & Mike Smith Motorsport announcing that the Bolton-based team intends to run a second new Ligier JSP3 LMP3 in the remaining rounds of the 2016 ELMS Series, in preparation for a full-season campaign in 2017.
Nick Reynolds of RLR commented: “Running a second car makes economic sense. We are planning a test programme to complement this and cater for the various national series.”
Mike Smith added “LMP3’s worldwide success puts pressure on entries, particularly in the ELMS. This is unlikely to go away and people may be disappointed if they delay in their decision making.”
