The event – organised by SRO – has quickly become a favourite for GT teams to compete in during the winter months. K-PAX Racing is is now added to the provisional list high-quality GT3 teams headlining the entry list.

While out in Malaysia, McLaren GT and Flying Lizard Motorsports will provide technical assistance to K-PAX Racing, as it aims to finish strongly in its first attempt. Driving for the team will be a trio of McLaren GT factory drivers, which will be announced in due course.

“This has literally been all hands on deck since we decided to run this race,” said Flying Lizard programme manager Darren Law. “We have a great understanding of this car, and we’re of course very excited to do this event, but from the time we decided we would run up to the point where the cars and equipment have to be shipped out was very short.

“All the guys are really looking forward to getting back to doing pit stops. With our team’s experience over the years in endurance racing, it will be exciting for everyone to get back to endurance racing once again.”

The 2016 Sepang 12 Hours is set to run on Decemeber 11th, starting at midday and finishing at midnight, local time in Malaysia.
