It’s almost time for Audi to hit the track for the final time in prototype racing. This time next week the teams will be in action in Bahrain, and Audi Sport will be just hours away from its LMP1 swansong.
But, before we say goodbye, let’s have a look back at some of the programme’s finest moments over the past 18 years.
In this, the second Friday Night Film Show one DSC, one thing is for certain if you are a sportscar fan: some of this footage will send shivers down your spine.
So, to start, lets look back at the mighty Audi R8, and a clip of its incredible rear-end change ability which changed the shape of serviceability in sports prototypes at the turn of the century.
Next up is a flashforward to Sebring in 2013, Audi’s last overall win at the Floridian classic.
Featuring commentary from Radio Le Mans’ John Hindhaugh, it’s a great piece of onboard footage from the final lap of the race, which will make even the most progressive of sportscar fans overcome by nostalga from looking back at the ALMS era.
Now back to Le Mans, and before we get to the blockbuster section of this showcase, here’s a quick look back at the 2010 Le Mans 24 Hours. This official Audi documentary acts as a micro Truth In 24 for one of the German brand’s most underrated wins at La Sarthe.
This video features camera work and insight, serving as a reminder of just how dramatic LMP1 racing can be with just two manufacturers.
And now, because we couldn’t not include them, below are the two Truth In 24 films. These are, arguably two of the best sports documentaries ever produced, which are fascinating for both sportscar die hards and general sports fans.

These films haven’t aged one bit, and with Audi Sport’s programme coming to an end there’s no better time to look back at two of its most incredible victories.
