RealTime busy testing
RealTime Racing’s Acura NSX GT3 programme meanwhile is set to debut in the Series at Round 1. The team has been out testing at VIR earlier this month (above) in what full-season driver Ryan Eversley has tweeted that it is a much improved car to last year’s development NSX.

Peter Kox will drive the second RealTime NSX for the season.

Always Evolving still finalising programme
The recent announcement of Nissan’s global motorsport programmes made no mention of the Always Evolving Racing programme in the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge.
That is because the previously factory-backed effort reverts to a customer programme for the coming season, with the effort scaled back to a single car from last seasons two car campaign with the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.
The team is expected to miss the opening round of the Series at St Petersburg and will debut its new Nissan GT-R at Long Beach – Round 2 of the season – with an as yet unannounced full-season driver.
Udell steps up to GTA
2016 PWC GT Cup champion Alec Udell has signed a dea to race in the GTA class of the PWC and the GT class in SprintX for 2017.
Udell will once again drive for Californian-based GMG Racing, though this time in a Porsche 911 GT3 R. In SprintX, Udell will race alongside teammate Preston Calvert.
GMG Racing will prepare, enter and maintain Udell’s #17 for the full PWC season. The SprintX Porsche 911 GT3 R meanwhile will be entered and prepared by Phoenix Promotions in cooperation with GMG under the Calvert Dynamics banner.
“I’m very excited for the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge racing season,” Udell said. “Moving up classes always comes with a learning phase. I’m ready for the challenge of GTA. The competition in PWC GT is second to none, with several factory backed programs and factory drivers; I have certainly got my work cut out for me.
“I’ve been training a lot in the off season to be prepared for the physical and mental fatigue experienced throughout the races, I can’t wait to get back in the car. I’m aiming for a podium in GT-A and overall podium in GT. I know it will be a tough fight, but I believe I’m capable.”
