Fran Rueda has taken Pole for this afternoon’s International GT Open Race 2 at the Hungaroring in the #65 Teo Martin BMW M6 GT3.
Rueda improved his lap time late on with a 1:42.311, the fastest lap of the weekend at the Hungaroring.
Thomas Jäger will complete the first row, and will also head the PRO-AM order off the line. Jäger had been on top of the timing sheets for much of the session. His time was a 1:42.724, four tenths behind Rueda.
Côme Ledogar tops the second row in the #88 Garage 59 McLaren, the French McLaren factory star setting a 1:43.199. The #488 Spirit of Race Ferrari, driven by Miguel Ramos, will line up fourth.
Vito Postiglione (#23 Imperale Lamborghini) qualified fifth, after having several laps cancelled for track limits violations. Alan Hellmeister rounds out the third row in the #16 Drivex Mercedes.
Championship leaders Thomas Biagi and Giovanni Venturini will start their #1 Imperale Lamborghini from seventh place, thanks to Biagi’s 1:43.491 tour in the session. The pair will be followed by AM pole-sitter Davide Rizzo in the #48 Kaspersky Ferrari 488.
This afternoon’s race at the Hungaroring begins at 14:15 local time.
