ROAL Motorsport has confirmed it will enter a pair of BMW Z4 GT3 cars in the Blancpain GT Series in 2014. Last season the Italian squad raced in the Blancpain Endurance Series with a single BMW, driven all season by Stefano Comandini and Michela Cerruti and Roberto Ravaglia has now confirmed his team will return this season.
“After the positive experience gained in the Blancpain Endurance Series last year I would say that the team is ready to tackle head-on the Blancpain GT Series 2014,” said Ravaglia. “With the new formula of seven Sprint and five Endurance races, it is certainly more challenging. And, as always, we will aim to do our best.”
ROAL Motorsport scored its best result in the Blancpain 1000 at the Nürburgring. Comandini and Cerruti finished the race in second place in the Pro-Am class. No drivers have been announced for the new Blancpain GT Series season.
