Unloading Begins At Watkins Glen (Updated)

Patriot Games

With the Watkins Glen paddock now suddenly a hive of activity the cars for the weekend’s race action are beginning to see the light of day as what is promised to be the final heavy shower passes through.

As previously covered on these pages the 6 Hours of the Glen, falling as the closest weekend before 4 July, has traditionally attracted teams to reflect their national pride with revised liveries.

Some, as with the #33 Riley AMG GT3 have entirely new liveries for the occasion.

Others, as with the factory Corvettes and the Paul Miller Lamborghini are fielding ‘enhancements’ to their regular colour schemes.

With the Spirit of Daytona Cadillac DPi also joining in the fun (featured image).

BMW Team RLL’s pair of M8 GTEs were appropriately reliveried too.

Whilst Scuderia Corsa’s pair of Ferraris had more subtle changes.

Tequila Patron’s Ligier Nissan DPis have some subtle but obvious enhancements.

With both Lexus RC F GT3s also decorated.

But perhaps not as dramatically as the #31 Whelen/ Action Express Cadillac DPi.

And whilst we had already seen the Meyer Shank Acura and Wright Motorsports Porsche colour schemes, they are every bit as eye-catching in the carbon.
