CD Sport Penalised, Ecurie Ecosse / Nielsen Racing Promoted To Pole

Splitter height not in compliance

The Le Mans Cup pole-winning CD Sport Norma M30 has been penalised by the stewards in the post-session tehnical checks, and had its laps deleted.

The car’s “Splitter height was not in compliance with art 3.5.4 of the 2018 Technical Regulations for LMP3 Prototypes”.

As a result, all of Lucas Legeret’s laps from the session have been deleted, promoting the #2 Ecurie Ecosse / Nielsen Racing Ligier JS P3 of Tony Wells and James Littlejohn to pole position.

The #3 title-winning DKR Norma will now start second, with Ecurie Ecosse’s sister car, which won last time out at Spa, up to third.

Tomorrow’s Le Mans Cup finale is set to start at 9am local time.
