We’ll have DSC crews out and about all over the place over the Easter Weekend with FIA WEC, ELMS, Blancpain GT Series and British GT all having their opening races of the season.
We’ll be busy but then so will plenty of others, not least the drivers that are doing double duty in more than one of the Series.
The FIA WEC grid will see several drivers who will also be racing in the ELMS over the same weekend, these guys will be putting plenty of ‘transit’ miles in between ‘The Wing’ and the old pits (where the ELMS will be based for the weekend).
2013 ELMS GTE Drivers Champ Matt Griffin will be doubling up between WEC duties for RAM Racing and further GTE responsibilities for AF Corse in the ELMS.
Prospeed WEC pairing Manu Collard and Francois Perrodo will race in the #75 GTE AM Porsche on Sunday, and in the very similar #82 Crubile Sport Porsche in the ELMS GTE class on the Saturday.
SMP Racing’s crews will be very busy over the weekend with the new two car LMP2 effort in the WEC. They’ll be busier still though as five of the six WEC drivers will also be racing in the ELMS aboard with the team’s new GTE Ferrari or in one of the pair of GTC 458s that SMP are fielding too.
Effort of the weekend though goes to Mark Patterson – He’ll combine his WEC duties in the #53 RAM Racing Ferrari with a British GT drive at Oulton Park! Happily the British Championship races on Easter Monday but the affable South African will be putting in a fair number of helicopter miles between sessions!
