A quick canter down the Barcelona pitlane on arrival ahead of tomorrow’s pre-season test days for the 2021 European Le Mans Series shows that, once again, there’s no shortage of ‘new’ on display.
Here are some of the highlights as the field were prepared for this evening’s group shot:
LMP2
With a couple of cars still en route there were still cars we haven’t yet seen either at all, or in their 2021 colours:
Including:
A fine effort from the BHK Motorsport Crew to brighten up their #35 Oreca, the car fielded here with the assistance it seems of 360 Racing Team boss Mark Owen.
The #29 Ultimate LMP2 Oreca is finally set to make its debut after opting out of the COVID-affected 2020 season, the car looks stunning in a metallic cherry red!
Also looking good in the carbon is the #84 SRT41 Oreca, bound for Garage 56 at Le Mans via the first two ELMS rounds.
IDEC Sport’s pair of entries look very well presented too.
And Duqueine Team’s new colours for their #30 Oreca stand out well too.
In GTE there’s a real surprise as the #77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR appears in Weathertech colours – believed to be the full season ELMS livery.
The 2021 look for Francois Perrodo’s #88 Ferrari is very eye-catching, the chrome-based livery is bound to be a fan favourite!
JMW’s Ferrari has had some Italian flag colour added and it again looks a stunner.
TF Sport’s Aston Martin looks very neat and tidy too:
No sign yet of a new name on the #83 Iron Dames Ferrari, but the 2021 team livery looks excellent in the carbon, this is the sister #60 car!
And Duncan Cameron’s #55 Spirit of Race 488 GTE certainly stands out in its ‘Invasion Stripes’ colours.
