Red Bull Ring Paddock Notes

DragonSpeed tested for much of Thursday in the two Collective Test sessions with the low-drag Le Mans bodykit, the team prepping for their FIA WEC campaign as well as the weekend to come at the Red Bull Ring with Gustavo Menezes getting his first ELMS laps since 2018.

Gustas Grinbergas too got his first laps ahead of the weekend as a last minute substitute in the #14 Inter-Europol Competition LMP3 effort, this is not though his first appearance in the ELMS paddock here, his ever-helpful father forwards this shot of Gustas, again in 2018, working as a then 16 year old mechanic for the Speed factory LMP3 outfit! Notably, Gustas’s efforts to grow a beard have not progressed significantly since Monza last year.

The Red Bull Ring weekend is the ELMS race weekend that does not feature the Michelin Le Mans Cup this season with the Ligier European Series and Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux (which supported the FIA WEC at Spa) also on the bill this weekend.

Jonny Adam is drafted into the #95 TF Sport squad this weekend with Ross Gunn on IMSA duty with Heart of Racing at Mid Ohio.

Another late change is the drafting in of four-time Andros Trophy ice racing Champion Jean-Philippe Dayraut (now classified as a Bronze) and Michelin Le Mans Cup Wochenspiegel team Monschau driver Leonard Weiss to replace the absent Alain Berg alongside Laurents Hörr.
